30 Days of Yoga Camp with Adriene

After seeing the New Year in with copious amounts of vodka and cranberry I took a day to recover before beginning on improving myself. Letting your hair down and celebrating the year gone by before welcoming in the new is a good thing, but all that indulgence (plus a diet consisting highly of cheese and chocolate over the festive period) has left me inspired to get moving and take care of my body. I’m not alone I know but I certainly feel no amount of guilt for enjoying the holidays. That being said, I’m ready to move forward with my health in mind.

Today is just a quick post to inform and invite you to join me in my quest to complete the 30 Days of Yoga Camp with Adriene. I actually heard of the camp in a blog post I read (I am so sorry for not remembering the blog so I can’t link to it) and I’m so thankful to said blogger for letting me in on the whole yoga camp thing because so far it’s been wonderful. The Yoga Camp is designed for all levels and it can be started at any time or day so it doesn’t matter of you pick up from day one today or if you leave it for months, the magic of YouTube means it’s there for you whenever you’re ready. Oh and it’s free so don’t worry if you’re short on cash right now. All you need is to dedicate some of your daily time, to commit to yourself and find your own level.

I’ve just completed day two, the first 50 minute session, and I’m feeling great already. The practice is focusing not only on the movements and the breath but mental wellness too. It’s peaceful and calming, positive and uplifting.     I signed up for this last year and was doing really well until a family bereavement turned it on its head… I intend to start again tomorrow morning before the madness commences! Thanks for giving me the nudge I needed Nettie 🙂

    I got to day 12 then pulled my neck badly and had a root canal the following week. Picking it back up from where I left off on Sunday 🙂
