UPDATE – Since publishing the release date has been moved back to August 12, 2016 in the UK. It’ll be worth it folks!
As soon as we saw No Man’s Sky we knew it would be a game for us. The concept alone gripped our interest and the graphics left us wanting more. No Man’s Sky comes from Sean Murray and Hello Games and is due for release on June 24 2016 ( a couple of days after my birthday!) and I for one cannot wait to see what the universe has for me to discover. Hello Games have worked incredibly hard making sure this game made it as their offices flooded back in Christmas 2013. The chaos almost shelved the game but the team battled on together and didn’t let the damage of the flood cause any permanent damage, hurrah!
The game’s setting is basically an infinite galaxy…yes, it’s bigger than you can imagine. There’s no story or quest line, you play the game how you want as you. Each shining light of a planet you can see opens up new possibilities, outcomes, and adventures. We’re talking different worlds with different life forms, resources, vistas, environments. My mind is blown just thinking about it.
Sci-Fi fans are going to love it; natural born explorers are going to immerse themselves in it and gamers who don’t like restrictions will cherish the freedom they’re given to explore this whole new universe. With apparently 18, 446, 744, 073, 709, 551, 616 planets ( I can’t even say that number) I am expecting to spend a lot of my free time checking out aliens, hopefully not getting into too many fights (can we connect and make friends with any of these life forms in a positive way? I hope so but I don’t know) and finding tradable minerals, plants and god knows what else in order to upgrade my spaceship, get better weapons and ensure my spacesuit is looking awesome. I’ll need to take care though because if you damage a planets’ ecosystem I’ll be attacked by robotic sentinels…
This is as close as I will ever come to being a space explorer, without limitation.
Will this game be everything we’re dreaming it to be? Perhaps, I sure do hope so. No Man’s Sky is a Sony Exclusive so perhaps it’s a good time to invest in a PS4 if you haven’t already, but it’s also going to be available on the PC. I hope to be streaming this soon, so please subscribe to my YouTube channel and Twitch if you want to join me on my adventure.

I like the concept of the game and I was just wondering is it an indie game? It reminds of Little Big Planet for some reason and I don’t know why.

Hello Games are indie developers from Guildford in the UK. Their other game was Joe Danger (I’ve never played it), so this is a whole new voyage for them.
