Oculus Quest VR Launch Title Announced
Mark Zuckerberg announced that the launch title for the Oculus Quest VR headset will be none other than Moss. Moss is a highly acclaimed action adventure game and considered to be one of the best VR titles out there thanks to its intuitive gameplay. The announcement came during Zuckerberg’s keynote presentation at Oculus Connect 5.
The Oculus Quest VR headset is due for release in the Spring of 2019 (not long to wait). With Moss, gamers will have a unique gaming experience to play with added freedom, wherever and whenever they wish to do so. In Moss, you get to guide a cute little mouse called Quill. This tiny hero gets to go on an epic adventure thanks to your guidance, but you also get to play as your own character and become an ally to Quill as you go along the journey together. Moss is already available on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive and has remained on the top of the charts since release early this year. It would have been great to have a brand-new compelling launch title, but it’s easy to see why they’ve picked Moss.
Exclusive Moss Items for Oculus Rift Owners
If you have an Oculus Rift and play Moss, you might be interested in the two unique items that can be unlocked at some point before the end of October. The items are decorative and can be used in your virtual Oculus home. The items are a virtual poster created by the artist Ryan DeMita and a virtual Quill figurine. To unlock the poster, you need to ascend into the castle and Quill is unlocked by giving her a high five. Both nice unique items that I’m sure fans of the game will appreciate and love to see in their Oculus home.
What do you make of this announcement? Are you happy to see Moss at launch of the Oculus Quest, or would you rather it was something new and unique to the headset? Personally, I’d love to have seen a new title, obviously, the world of VR is in need of something to give Moss a run for its money.
