The EGX news that got me the most excited was hearing Nintendo was returning to the show floor. In 2015, Nintendo’s stand was my favourite part and I am so hoping that they will throw out all the stops for their return. Nintendo was hugely missed last year, I think they should work hard to make up for their lack of attendance.
Nintendo has provided me with my favourite game in the whole world ever with Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I am hoping for some decent merchandise but I’m also really looking forward to trying Super Mario Odyssey. Although I am not the biggest Mario fan in the house I adored Mario 64 and Galaxy was pretty incredible too. I don’t think Odyssey will be a letdown.
There are plenty of other Switch and 3DS titles that we’ll be trying out:
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
- Worms W.M.D
- Metroid: Samus Returns
- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Sage
- Monster Hunter Stories
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Splatoon 2
- Pokkén Tournament DX
- ARMS
- Fire Emblem Warriors
In addition to the games, Nintendo are also crowning four champions who will battle it out at EGX. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe EGX Championship takes place on 21 Sept. The ARMS EGX 2017 Grand Prix is on the 22 Sept. Saturday 23 Sept will be The Splatoon 2 UK Championship Grand Final and the Pokkén Tournament DX EGX 2017 Invitational is on Sept 24.
